LIBRARY: A new framework for fire behaviour simulation

Deliverable D2.1.1 defines the fire behaviour simulation framework adopted in RES2FIRE, focusing on the selection and customization of a suitable fire behaviour model for Mediterranean landscapes. It analyses fuel types and fuel treatments across different forest formations and pilot areas and establishes the “translation logic” that converts silvicultural interventions into model parameters.
